Mentorship

Let’s navigate your photography journey together.

Photography isn’t just a technical pursuit; over time, it evolves into a way of looking, a language of thought and expression. However, along this journey, we often need guidance to find our direction, develop our work, refine a new project idea, or elevate our portfolio to a professional level.
This is where photography consulting and mentoring comes into play.

Why Mentoring?

Photographic production is a personal journey, but when walked alone, it can sometimes be tiring and directionless. Mentorship doesn’t offer a ready-made prescription; on the contrary, it guides you to find your own path. Together, we define where you are and where you want to go. During this process, we consider the technical, aesthetic, and conceptual aspects of photography as a whole.

The mentorship program consists of one-on-one meetings, project consulting, portfolio reviews, and long-term development plans. Everything is tailored to your interests, experience, and goals.

Who is it suitable for?

This program is suitable for:

  • Amateur or semi-professional photographers who want to deepen their photographic practice,
  • Photographers developing their own photography projects or preparing for exhibitions, books, or portfolios,
  • Anyone who wants to find their direction in photography, strengthen their visual language, or develop their production discipline.

Each participant works with a personalized roadmap tailored to their specific needs.
For some, this process takes the form of project consulting, for others, a visual development process, and for others, a long-term mentoring relationship.

How Does the Process Work?

The mentoring process is completely personalized.
During the initial meeting, the participant’s goals, current photographic skill, and areas of interest are determined.
A 4- to 8-session study plan is then developed. This plan may include the following stages:

  • Portfolio Analysis: Technical, aesthetic, and conceptual evaluation of the participant’s existing photographic work.
  • Direction Setting: Discovering the genre or theme they wish to pursue, their personal interests, and their strengths.
  • Project Development: Guidance on long-term photography projects from conception to presentation.
  • Visual Language and Storytelling: Connecting photographs, constructing a narrative, and creating a cohesive whole that connects with the audience.
  • Evaluation and Forward-Looking: Reviewing the participant’s progress at the end of the process and setting new goals.

The meeting takes place online. Periodic in-person evaluations or fieldwork meetings can also be scheduled for participants who wish.

What are the Benefits?

At the end of the mentoring process, participants:

  • Have the opportunity to progress with the guidance of an outsider looking at their photography,
  • Strengthen their visual language and personal style,
  • Develop their photographic project from idea to final product,
  • Advance their portfolio to a professional presentation level,
  • Acquire long-term production discipline.

This workshop is not a “course,” but a collaborative thinking process between two photographers.
It’s based on shared discovery as much as it is on the sharing of experience.

Participation and Application

Because the mentoring program is individualized, it’s conducted one-on-one.
The frequency and duration of meetings are determined by the participant’s pace.
The initial meeting serves as a time to get acquainted and establish a direction; a personalized program is then created.

If you’re looking to deepen your photographic production, develop a project idea, or take your visual expression to a more personal level, this mentoring process is for you.
Let’s shape your own photography journey together.
